Séance suivie d’une rencontre avec la réalisatrice TANG Yi
TANG Yi a étudié la réalisation à Université de New York (NYU), elle est actuellement en résidence artistique à Paris. Ses films se centrent essentiellement sur des histoires inédites, des voix souvent tues, racontées à travers un point de vue féminin.
La projection commencera avec Black Goat et sera suivi de All the Crows in the World, un film pour lequel la réalisatrice a obtenu la Palme d’or du court métrage à Cannes en 2021. La séance se terminera avec Yokelan, 66 ainsi qu’un court-métrage mystère et inédit proposé par TANG Yi.

TANG Yi moved to New York pursuing a career in filmmaking after being accepted into NYU graduate film program and is currently in artistic residency in Paris. She concentrates on stories untold and voices unheard from a woman’s perspective.
The screening will begin with Black Goat and will be followed by All the Crows in the World, a film for which the director won the Palme d’or for short films at Cannes in 2021. The programme will close with Yokelan, 66 and a surprise short film by TANG Yi.

Pasang, tout juste arrivée dans une nonnerie, connaît ses premières règles après avoir entendu, tard le soir, une histoire de fantômes. Elle cherche à le cacher, jusqu’au moment où elle se met à saigner pendant la prière. Persuadée qu’elle a été ensorcelée, elle pense avoir besoin de sacrifier une chèvre noire pour mettre fin à ses malheurs.
尼姑庵新来的小尼姑帕桑，在深夜听了一个鬼故事以后，经历了月经初潮。她保守著这个秘密， 直到在一次诵经中血流了出来。她坚信她是被下了咒，于是她需要一只黑山羊作为牺牲，要不然将来就会有大祸临头。
Pasang, a new girl at a nunnery, has her first period after hearing a late-night ghost story. She keeps it secret until she bleeds at a prayer session. She believes that she has been cursed and needs to sacrifice a black goat to avoid further misfortune.

Shengnan, 18 ans, est invitée à une fête mystérieuse par sa cousine. La jeune fille se retrouve au cœur d’une fête majoritairement peuplée d’hommes chinois opulents et bien plus âgés qu’elle. Parmi eux, Jianguo se démarque.
十八岁的高中女孩赵胜男受表姐之邀，参加了一场奇怪的成人聚会。饭局上都是一群油腻的中年男人。但这其中，还有一个与众不同的，名叫建国的人。
18-year-old Shengnan is invited to a mysterious party by her cousin. The party is filled with greasy middle aged Chinese men. Among these people, Jianguo is so different.

Avant de devenir réalisatrice, TANG Yi était étudiante en comptabilité à l’université ainsi que chanteuse et compositrice à Universal Hong Kong. Après avoir été acceptée à NYU elle a ainsi pu se lancer dans la réalisation. En 2021, son second court métrage, All the Crows in the World, gagne la Palme d’or au Festival de Cannes. Yi considère être une « nomade » du cinéma. Elle développe actuellement son premier long métrage à la Résidence du Festival de Cannes à Paris en parallèle du Torino ScriptLab. Yi se consacre à raconter des histoires de femmes, de minorités sous-représentées et de problèmes sociaux. Sa signature : capturer ces thèmes dans un style subversif de comédie noire.
在成為電影工作者前，唐藝是一個在香港學會計的大學生兼環球旗下的唱作人。在被紐約大學電影學院錄取後，她前往紐約開啟電影創作生涯。其第二部短片《天下烏鴉》在2021年康城電影節 (Festival de Cannes) 主競賽獲得短片金棕櫚獎。唐藝目前在巴黎參加康城電影節的駐地項目，發展她的第一部長片。她的作品專注講述關於女性、未被代表的群體和社會問題的故事，黑色喜劇筆觸和詼諧輕鬆的影調，也是她標誌性的風格。
Prior to filmmaking, TANG Yi was an accounting major at college and a singer- songwriter under Universal Hong Kong. She moved to New York pursuing a career in filmmaking after being accepted into NYU graduate film program. In 2021, her second short film, All the Crows in the World, won the Short Film Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Tang Yi considers herself a cinema nomad. She is currently developing her first feature film at La Residence du Festival de Cannes in Paris, along with the Torino ScriptLab. Yi’s works focus on telling stories about women, underrepresented groups, and social issues. She captures these themes through a subversive, darkly comedic film lens, which is a signature style of hers.
